Terms and conditions

By taking part in any Star Bikers run, participants agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.

  • All vehicles must display a valid tax disc for that vehicle.
  • All vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition and (if over three years old) have a valid MOT certificate.
  • All participants must be insured against third party damage.
  • All participants must hold a valid driving licence.
  • An approved helmet must be worn when required to do so by law.
  • Riders must not perform wheelies
  • Riders must follow instructions given by the Police and Marshals.
  • Riders must ride in a legal and safe manner

These rules are not here to spoil your fun, they are just common sense and are here to ensure people's safety and ensure the run can continue for the future.

Even if you are not a bike rider or not taking part in the parade, you are still very welcome to attend the Kings hall. Or if you wish you can also attend the Britannia stadium to see the start of the parade.
Displays & Stalls open in the Kings Hall at 11am & any event entertainment will also commence at 11am. Licensed Bar available at the Kings Hall & refreshments are also available at both the start & finish points of the event.

PLEASE NOTE - In the interests of safety an Inspection of the route will always be carried out immediately prior to the runs going ahead. Route may be liable to last minute changes as a result.

If there are any problems on the route which are thought to be hazardous or if any dangerous road conditions that are found on the day of the run which could endanger the safety of the riders on the parade, then a decision will be made by the Police or Marshals who may deem it necessary to alter the path of the parade to use a safer alternative route away from the danger area or to lead the parade back to Kings hall on the safest route. Should this occur we will try to inform people of changes via local radio. Problems could arise from things such as ice or snow, chemical or diesel spills or loss of loads from vehicles or emergency road works or emergency repairs to domestic services being carried out by contractors along the route of the parade shown. These circumstances are beyond our control.

IF YOU LIVE ALONG THE ROUTE OR WISH TO DONATE GIFTS OF EGGS & TOYS:-

If you are not riding in the parade & wish to line the route to show your support, YOU CAN. You are as always also welcome to pass gifts or eggs to the riders. Many of the riders will stop to collect your EGGS or TOYS (depending on the run) if you line the route. Simply flag one of the riders down or simply HOLD YOUR ARM OUT-STRETCHED WITH YOUR GIFT IN YOUR HAND to make yourself easily visable.

IN THE INTERESTS OF SAFETY PLEASE REMAIN ON THE PAVEMENT AT ALL TIMES & DO NOT STAND IN THE PATH OF THE PARADE OR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.

We ask ALL persons (riders or spectators) to be extra careful & to try to offer your gift in a carrier bag to make it easier & safer for the riders or pillions to carry them (also it can protect them from any bad weather) Items will also have to be made safe for riders to carry & not cause obstruction to the collecting rider or other motorcycles in the parade. Many pillions will also have backpacks to place your gifts in.

Don't forget to give the riders a cheer & a wave as they pass you... some may
even wave back at you & peep their horns ... after all it is for charity.

Get your cameras ready as this is one sight you will not want to miss.
