Bike Thefts on the rise

Was approached by an officer in an unmarked police car (Mercedes I believe) he told me that there had been 4 bikes stolen this week and that thefts were on arise. They have set up the an operation and are surely onto the culprits.

However still be careful out there, make sure you lock your bike up and it is secure keep safe everyone.

Re: Bike Thefts on the rise

hate to say it, but it's a sad fact that is true.

You will always find at this time of year - around Christmas when funds are at their lowest & bills are at their highest, plus times of high unemployment in general, all thefts (bike, car, home burglary etc) seems to go through the roof.

Re: Bike Thefts on the rise

At Christmas money is tight, bills are coming in, pressure to buy presents etc etc

Re: Bike Thefts on the rise

Great news, my bike has been recovered and they have arrested the little 'darlings'

Damage to the bike but can be repaired, Hoping to get it sorted in the next week or so!!

Delighted by it all even if I could have done without the expense, like all of us smile

Re: Bike Thefts on the rise

Good news you have got the bike back. Am guessing the little darlings will get the usual slap on the wrist and sent on their way. Hope you get the bike fixed soon and back on the road.

Re: Bike Thefts on the rise

Sadly no

A complete write off they have dropped it, beeon on fields, handle bar twisted, tank damaged (never managed to get the lock  off), no steering lock, clocks, mirroes, indicators and that is all I could bear o look at.
Just thugs, if only it had been a wall at 60mph.

See how it goes on in court but not too hopeful we wouldnot want their benefits stoped woul we..

Thanks everybody for your kind words ayway
